Agile started in the United States with the Agile Manifesto in 2001 and spread in adoption from developers to other parts of the business such as HR and marketing. Agile Marketing has become adopted and used across the United States. But where besides the United States can you find examples of agile marketing case studies?
The agile marketing LinkedIn group was set up to be a place for discussion on the use of agile for marketers across the world. And has grown to over 6,000 members, as moderator for the Agile Marketing LinkedIn Group, I thought I’d develop a breakdown of which countries have the greatest number of members in the group. Here’s a chart showing the countries with the most members in the Agile Marketing LinkedIn group.
Breakdown of members by country
The top 5 countries with the highest number of members are.
the United States with 40% of the membership, the largest contingent of members,
- Next 6% are from the UK
- 4.4% are from India
- 4.4% are from Canada
- 3.6% from Brazil
And the next highest breakdown of members and their countries are Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and Italy.
We’d like to see more participation from LinkedIn members, so wherever you are located feel free to post content in your country’s language so long as the content is about agile marketing. The group is set up to encourage and evangelize agile marketing all around the world.
For the list of top countries with the most members, examples of agile marketing at companies can be found in the list of podcasts found on my other podcast, Deep Dive into Agile Marketing, including TD Bank, 3M, GE Healthcare, IBM and more. As well as examples of companies on what type of agile frameworks and specific management software they use in combination with agile methods for marketing campaigns.
Which companies use agile marketing?
And for different countries there are examples of companies for the following countries. We've interviewed agile marketing experts from across the globe to give you the state of agile marketing in each of the countries, and in the process, each agile expert has given insights into what companies are using agile for marketing, and also which industries. Interestingly, we saw adoptions across the world in the financial sector. A number of experts thought the background to the 2008 financial crisis increased the need for agile adoption in the last 15 years. Here's a list of audio podcasts in many of the top countries represented in the Agile Marketing LinkedIn Group:
Canada - Agile Marketing in Canada with Michael Seaton and Thomas Hormaza Dow
Brazil - Agile Marketing in Brazil with Andre Felippa - English | Portuguese
Germany - Agile marketing in Germany with Martin Sinning - English | German
Agile Marketing in Germany with Dr. Kevin Anding - English | German
The Netherlands - Agile Marketing in the Netherlands with Adrie Dolman
Agile Marketing in the Netherlands with Misha van Hamersveld-Elbers and Marielle Roozemond - English | Dutch
Italy - Agile Marketing in Italy with Deborah Ghisolfi - English | Italian
We don’t have podcasts for India and France, if you are using agile and have a good sense of the state of agile marketing in each of those countries, let me know we’d like to do an interview and find more examples of the use of agile marketing in India and France.
Spread the use of Agile Marketing Globally
Looking at the list of countries with the highest number of members in the LinkedIn Group it's easy for that number to change. The rankings represent membership, not people's participation and use of agile marketing. By posting more articles about agile marketing only, and in many different languages we can increase the awareness of the use of agile marketing. Let's challenge ourselves to post more on the topic of agile marketing, either on your own platforms, or in community platforms for discussion about agile marketing like the LinkedIn Agile Marketing Group.
